Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Kurdish-Iranian woman, died in police custody in September after being detained by Iran's "morality police" for allegedly breaching the Islamic republic's strict dress code for women.
Iran intensified its crackdown Tuesday on the Kurdistan region in the country's west amid protests sparked by the death of Amini.
