In this video, I introduce various characters from the video game Black Myth: Wukong, focusing on their origins in the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West to avoid game spoilers. The plot of Black Myth: Wukong occurs after the events of the novel.
Jingubang: Sun Wukong's magical staff, originally an iron pillar from the East Sea, can change its size and weight at will.
Jindouyun: Sun Wukong's Somersault Cloud, allowing him to travel great distances quickly.
Erlang Shen: A powerful deity with a third eye, known for subduing Sun Wukong before. In the game, he betrays Sun Wukong.
Xiaotian Quan: Erlang Shen's loyal divine dog, helping him in battles, particularly against Sun Wukong.
The Four Heavenly Kings: Buddhist guardians of the four directions, each associated with specific elements and symbols.
Juling Shen: A giant spirit god known for his immense strength, serving as a guardian under the Jade Emperor.
These characters play significant roles in both the novel and the game.
