At this virtual event for all those with a professional or personal interest in Islamic and/or Middle Eastern history and culture, we welcomed Simon O'Meara, lecturer in the History of Architecture & Archaeology of the Islamic Middle East at SOAS and member of the London Middle East Institute. He was interviewed by Valerie Gonzalez, Research Associate at SOAS' Department of History of Art and Archaeology. The discussion was around Dr O'Meara's newly published book, The Kaʿba Orientations: Readings in Islam’s Ancient House.
