Today I'd like to talk briefly about the concept of opportunity cost. I think I first heard about opportunity cost in a college economics course I took, and that's been many, many years ago. But, the idea of opportunity costs for those that aren't familiar is that, in making one choice you are foregoing the other choices and alternatives on the table to you. There may be costs associated with the things that you forego, or the things that you didn't choose.
