The 1854 S Liberty Head Half Eagle gold coin is one of the rarest gold coins in the history of the US Mint. To Date only 4 coins have been identified from this issue, and during a 2018 ANA Coin Show Auction one of these - a recent discovery of a lifetime - was sold for over $2 million. Making itr the latest entrant to the million dollar coins list.
