On 30th June, there were reports that Malaysia's 5G stalemate has been solved as the 6 telcos including Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile have agreed to take a stake in Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) and will offer 5G services as early as September 2022. Is it really true?
The Minister of Communications and Multimedia Tan Sri Annuar Musa said an official announcement on the DNB stake offer will be made on 8th July. Almost one month has passed and none of the telcos have announced anything about the stake deal or provide updates on their 5G rollout. Here's what you need to know.
