Our Secret Garden dressing room took quite some time to get to where it’s at today. But home takes time.

And I really took my sweet time. We bought this house back in June 2021 and didn’t have a closet till March of 2023 when we saved up enough to have a custom his & hers wardrobe built.

I decided to have it made in raw mdf to save on costs because I knew I wanted to customize it myself. But it took until January of 2024 to finally add the trim. At that time I just primed it white.

Then in April, I added window cling to the glass doors to give it a stain glass effect. The Secret Garden dressing room was finally taking shape.

And this month, I finally painted our closet in this beautiful blue the perfectly compliments the stain glass effect and the marble tiles in the bathroom.

I’m so pleased with how this space turned out! It took over three years to complete this project but I’m glad I took my time to save, plan and gather the perfect pieces for this space. It came together beautifully.

Shout out to some accounts for inspiring this project!@reserve-home introduced the idea of window cling and corbels into my world and I fell in love with @BrigetteMuller mirror so I bought one for this space. And I bought that iron hanger from @lemontree_interiors on IG many years ago before we even planned for this closet. It finally found a home here.
