FAO Egypt through its Emergency Centre for Transboundary Animal Diseases (ECTAD) has been supporting Egypt to generate knowledge and enhance understanding about the epidemiology of MERS-CoV through conducting various kinds of surveillance activities and studies including longitudinal study, cross-sectional study as well as abattoir-based study.
