India, which is home to the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer, is facing a vaccine shortage. To tackle this shortage, the Indian government decided to reach out to foreign vaccine producers to import more jabs. Now, India’s apex drug regulator DCGI has further relaxed the norms required for foreign companies to launch their vaccines in India. The move comes after vaccine manufacturers like Pfizer and Moderna requested an exemption from bridging trials.
