The Barn is Crossroads Youth & Community Association’s space for young people in Laurieston and the Greater Gorbals to relax, make friends and have fun, and receive support that they need to reflect on themselves and their experiences. As part of South City Way, Crossroads received a grant to create a new community mural for the Barn, giving the young people involved a chance to express their creativity in a brand new collective artwork for on Abbotsford Place.
South City Way is a new walking and cycling route linking Queen’s Park with Glasgow City Centre via Victoria Road and Gorbals Street. The project has been funded by Glasgow City Council and Transport Scotland through Sustrans Scotland’s Places for Everyone programme.
