Cryptic announced that ships will be able to be upgraded to what they're calling "T6-X2" during the reveal of the next season update, Star Trek Online: Incursion, but didn't really elaborate on how that was going to be implemented or how much it would cost. Until yesterday, that is! We now know how T6-X2 will work and what it'll cost and I'm here to tell you!
