It took 72 hours to create the 25 foot long fully printed boat. Using Maine wood fibers and plastics. It’s the first-ever fully 3D-printed boat. Earning the University of Maine 3 Guinness world records the largest prototype 3dn printer, the largest solid 3d-printed object, and the largest 3d-printed boat. The 3D printer is so big it can print objects up to 100 feet long, 22 feet wide, and 10 feet high. And it can print up to 500 pounds an hour. The University of Maine Advanced Structures and Composites Center has created a working boat using 3D-printing breaking Guinness World Records.
