This is a short preview of the master class by pianist Barbara Nissman on the Argentine composer, Alberto Ginastera. This is the second program in Barbara's Masterclass series.
Nissman presents an in-depth portrait of the man that includes performances and interviews with the composer himself, his daughter Georgina, his wife Aurora as well as conversations with the conductor Leonard Slatkin, Keith Emerson of ELP and Chick Corea. Barbara concludes with a master class and performances of his Three Piano Sonatas and his early Danzas Argentinas.
