If you have an anvil whether new or old, and are finding limitations to it's form or edges maybe you've heard people talking about anvil grinding and giving their anvil a better finish, but how could it be done? A blacksmith's anvil especially a budget one such as this 24LB Clarke cast iron one, doesn't need to be perfect. However by improving the step and removing the casting seam and imperfections along the horn (bick) gives a few effective improvements which can really improve the anvil's aesthetic and workability resulting in smoother forgings.
