Translator's Notes: This song kicked my ass. It's basically a poem, which means that there's a lot of abbreviation in meaning as well as lyricism that I couldn't just ignore. Because of this, two versions exist. I couldn't just leave the translation in prose because that neglects the oral aspect of the lyrics which needs to be translated. However, a verse version wouldn't get the meaning across as well as prose can, so I chose to make two versions (you can see the prose in the pinned comment and compare the two different versions). If you were paying close attention to the video, you'll notice that you can sing my verse version the same way you can sing the original. This is intentional. The verse version also preserves the rhyme scheme of the original, which was a time and a half to do. So the verse version keeps the meter and rhyme of the original, which I judged best shows how the language is being played with, and you can use the prose version to supplement your understanding because I go into greater detail on each line there.
