SUNDAY PLATFORM Reports
18 August 2013
By © Muhammad Haque
being posted from London UK
on the Internet between
1950 and 2030
Hrs GMT on Sunday
18 August 2013, with
images of some of
Fleet Street's front
pages of the day mostly dominated by
a claim that Diana, the Princess
of Wales, had been murdered
by British State forces. That
claim had been suggested outside
the UK many times and rejected
by successive British Governments
and State agencies. This latest one
too is being rejected. But the
fact that the particular claim keeps
being revived means
that there remains a most powerful
political and Social interest
in the tragically killed Princess.
Leading with such a topic, this first edition
of the KHOODEELAAR! CAMPAIGN
SUNDAY PLATFORM contains
exclusively researched and filmed
arguments between the local
supporters of "the local Tower Hamlets Council's"
'trial' closure of traffic through
Brick Lane and opponents of the
bid. The issue may at first appear
marginal to those not living or working
in the East End of London Borough but
as far as the Community in the
Brick Lane London E1 Area is
concerned, the role of Tower
Hamlets Council is very relevant.
That role can make a good impact
on the Community. It can also
do lasting and irreparable harm
to the Community.
And to the lives and the livelihoods
of the people that constitute the
Community.
It thus follows that the standard
of that role is likely to be judged
through intense scrutiny by the ordinary
people whose lives and livelihoods are
affected by such decisions.
As viewers of the AADHIKAROnline
and KHOODEELAAR! Action Reports
will be familiar, these items of
the CAMPAIGNING REPORTING
Movement are originally researched,
investigated, designed, filmed
and published with one key aim
being the advocacy and protection of the rights
of the people and the contributions to
the process whereby
those who seek or hope to seek or actually
do occupy positions
as resulting from the votes of the people
in the local area are held to account.
On the evidence of the
behaviour of the decision-makers
in the local "state'" which
is Tower Hamlets or the regional state
which is the London Assembly and the
UK Central State which is at least theoretically
subjected to accountability to the local
people by the occupants of the two posts as
MPs for the Parliamentary Constituencies of
Bethnal Green and Bow and Poplar and
Limehouse/Limehouse and Poplar.
The KHOODEELAAR! Defence of the
Community covers all matters that matter
in the lives, the livelihoods and the universally
recognised and expected basic, human, legal,
economic, social, environmental, democratic,
creative and authoring rights of the people in
Tower Hamlets and in extrapolation of the
principles to those beyond and further afield
from the statutorily defined boundaries of
the Borough constituting
the 'original' East End of London.
