Over five decades and six generations, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has not only become the world's best-selling luxury limousine but also influenced others by pioneering a range of new automotive technologies.

Now, the famed German car-maker wants its all-new flagship sedan to be known as the 'ultimate digital car', since the W223 S-Class brings not only more luxury and comfort than ever, but vastly more tech too.

When it arrives in Australia next March, the first example to touch down will be the 270kW 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder turbo-petrol S 450, priced from about $230,000 and available with rear-wheel drive and 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
