In March 2019, Kristen Dailey, Global Washington Executive Director, interviewed Dr. Eleanor Nwadinobi in Seattle as part of an issue campaign on ending child marriage.
Dr. Nwadinobi practiced medicine in the UK and in Nigeria before leaving clinical practice for another calling: preventing violence against women. Today, Dr. Nwadinobi serves as a gender, health, and women's peace and security consultant for the United Nations, the World Bank, the African Union, and UNICEF, among many others. She is the President-elect nominee of the Medical Women’s International Association, a global association for women physicians. She also serves on the nine-member Every Woman Treaty Steering Committee.
