HELINA MISSILE: DESI TANK KILLER
HELINA is a third-generation ATGM that is capable of engaging targets at ranges of up to 8 kilometres. The missile is also capable of penetrating up to 800 millimetres of rolled homogeneous armour (RHA), making it an effective weapon against a wide range of armoured vehicles.
The Helina missile is a fire-and-forget weapon, which means that once it has been launched, it does not require any further guidance from the operator. This makes it a very easy-to-use weapon, and it also reduces the risk of the operator being exposed to enemy fire.
The missile is also equipped with a tandem warhead, which means that it has two warheads: one to penetrate the armor of the target vehicle, and the other to detonate inside the vehicle. This tandem warhead design makes the Helina missile very effective against heavily armored vehicles.
The Helina missile has been successfully tested in a variety of conditions, and it is now in production. The missile is expected to be a major boost to the Indian Army's anti-tank capabilities.
