Cheri Lynette Townsend, 39, was booked for murder on Thursday in connection with the May 3 killing of 66-year-old Susan Leeds (inset) in the parking garage of a Rolling Hills, California mall (top right). Leeds' body (bottom right) was found inside her white 2016 Mercedes Benz SUV in the parking garage of Promenade on the Peninsula, a trendy shopping mall in the wealthy enclave. Surveillance video (main) shows the suspected murder spend several minutes in the victim's car in the commission of the crime. Police said in a televised Friday press conference that the crime was apparently random, with robbery as a motive.
