Speaking to NLTV, the All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers’ Association president Vethinu Kezo informed that the association has served a 15-day ultimatum to the government to release salaries pending since January 2023. Kezo said that 66 Operation and Maintenance Staff (OMS) under the department were regularized vide ENCP order No. 547, 548, 549, 550, 551, 952, 553 and 554, dated 17th January 2023 and were all performing bona fide duties. However, he pointed out that the government was not releasing the salaries of these employees, which was causing them immense economic hardships and affecting their families, especially their children’s studies. The association also cautioned that failing to respond in 15 days, an ultimatum ANEFWA shall be compelled to take its own course of actions
