This spring I decided to try and root some of the material I cut off of our Goldrush apple tree. Since apples are shy rooters I'm grafting it to a rootstock and burying the bottom of the scion with the rootstock in order to get the Goldrush to push out roots of it's own. With any luck, in a few years we will have another large Goldrush apple tree to enjoy!
