The Eclipse SDV Blueprints project is a collaborative initiative led by Eclipse SDV members to bring the "software defined vehicle" concepts to life. A crucial aspect of each blueprint is to ensure users can easily reproduce it on their own. This requires well-written and highly clear documentation. Users can utilize blueprints as they are, for inspiration or as a foundation to customize and meet their specific needs.
The Eclipse SDV Blueprints project hosts a collection of blueprints that demonstrate the application of technologies developed within the projects of the Eclipse SDV working group (sdv.eclipse.org). This allows for showcasing the capabilities and features of the software provided by the Eclipse SDV working group, while also exploring collaboration opportunities and integration of these technologies.
Each blueprint represents an exemplary implementation of a use case based on artifacts created within participating Eclipse SDV projects and related open-source technologies. They include blueprint-specific code that ties everything together.
By adopting a blueprint, users gain insight into all the components involved and can actively contribute to future software development, ensuring it aligns with their evolving needs. The goal of these blueprints is not to prescribe a single approach to problem-solving, but rather to provide usable solutions, observe their practical usage, and gather valuable feedback. This feedback can be incorporated back into the blueprint or shared with the relevant projects.
During this talk, we will provide a brief introduction to each SDV blueprint, highlighting their key features. So far, there is development on blueprints for data sharing with insurance, autonomous racers, and fleet management.
