adding fruits & veggies to budgies diet

- It's essential to provide different varieties of food to your #budgie. a good diet for the budgie should have 25% fresh food. it means #fruits and #veggies must be served every day. try different types of food. most of the #budgies like eating a raw apple, lettuce, orange, clover, dandelion leaves, broccoli, papaya, kiwi, and others. food should never be salted or sugared and it shouldn't be cold or hot. if food has skin, peel it and budgie will easier to eat. young birds are usually more willing to try new food than older birds. give leafy greens freshly washed and still wet and hang in the cage. the droplets of water may attract your bird's attention. food in the dish may be ignored. It's better to clip on the side of the cage in the play area. offer foods after you have a bite. watching you eat the food may be all the temptation your budgie needs. cut a small piece of apple and sprinkle some seeds over it, then put it between cage bars. many birds will try to get seeds and they will taste new food. most birds enjoy eating freshly sprouted #seeds, which are an excellent source of nutrition and are often helpful in enticing birds to make the leap from seeds to #greens. prepare a good food mix, remove the dry seed for the time being, and place a portion of the mix where you usually place the seed. hunger will force your fussy bird to eat what you give him; and because it’s actually good stuff, the bird will usually be won over in a day or two. after that, you can return the dry seed to the cage, while maintaining a varied diet. try offering fresh vegetables in the morning as they will be more hungry 😋
