Standing on a rock submerged in the water from the lake a Double-crested Cormorant was standing tall flapping its wings. The Double-crested Cormorant was likely drying off its wings and feathers after diving into the water and it was waiting for them to dry so it could fly off. After a few minutes, a Canada Goose decided to swim onto the rock and dry its wings off. Both the Double-crested Cormorant and the Canada Goose were preening themselves. Since the birds did not move from that spot, I was able to record footage from multiple angles.
Double-crested Cormorants have a dark body with orange bare skin at the base of the bill. They are a large waterbird with an elongated neck and tail. Double-crested Cormorants are a large, sized bird, and they have dark black feathers, with a grey chest and a long yellow beak. Double-crested Cormorants are large black colored birds.
