Pioneer Public Television’s Postcards program featured four emerging student artists from the University of Minnesota, Morris.
Kaylee Christenson is from Clara City and will also graduate in May 2019 from UMM with degrees in studio art and communications. She works in the mediums of screen printing and photography and she draws inspiration from the tattoo artist community. Christenson hopes to work in a gallery and her dream job is to work with the tattoo community. She appreciates how her UMM experience has helped to make her work more substantial, contemplative and well developed.
This Postcards episode was produced by Michael Cihak, Director of media technology at UMM, and videography by Gary Ludwitzke from UMM, under special arrangement with Postcards producer Dana Conroy and videographers Kristofor Gieske and Ben Dempcy. The program is made possible by contributions from the voters of Minnesota through a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Production sponsors for the program include Shalom Hill Farm, Explore Alexandria Tourism and the Lake Region Arts Council.
