On May 13, 1981, a Turkish man tried to assassinate Pope John Paul II. Mehmet Ali Agca fired four shots during the Pope's Wednesday general audience in the Vatican city's St. Peter's Square. Two of the bullets hit the Pope, he immediately collapsed. Ali Agca later said he was following God's order. Here's a recall.
