Alice Yao, MD, assistant professor of surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, discusses utilizing the da Vinci Robot Surgical System, a minimally invasive technique of harvesting tissue in order to enhance breast reconstruction and decrease the burden of additional scars. Mount Sinai is the first institution in the New York metropolitan area to offer a robotic assisted breast reconstruction.
