What is Odysee, YouTube alternative? Is decentralized YouTube possible?

YouTube has been plagued with many problems, such as unfair copyright strikes, numerous content creators being demonetized, or the never-ending mess with advertisers and their demands for what content should be incentivised or boycotted. Odysee saw this problem and offered a solution.

In this video, I’ll explain what created the demand for a decentralized video sharing platform, how Odysee attempted providing such a service and how different it is from YouTube and other traditional video sharing platforms. To understand it, a proper look at LBRY, the foundation on which Odysee is built, is required. Therefore, I’ll explain LBRY and its tokenomics.
