KPA made their intentions known early with a dominant display in the first quarter as they scored 26 – 19. In the second quarter, Ulinzi who were the defending champions threatened to improve their fortunes and trailed 15 – 13 and the score stood at 41 – 32 at the break. In the third quarter KPA’s momentum went up a notch to score 22 – 11 but they eased their foot of the gas pedal in the final quarter. The damage was already done as they dethroned Ulinzi as the new basketball premier league champions
