This is quite a nice sound project.
I have tried two other DMU sounds and this one is probably the best. The only thing I find annoying is that you can't vary the first gear accelleration time. Or indeed any other gears. It's OK for just pootling around the yard, but the real things usually spent a good 10 - 15 seconds with first gear engaged before change up to second on level track or even longer on an an uphill gradient.
Even Hornby TTS diesel sounds allow you to notch the engine sounds up and down manually!
With a bit of reprogramming, this sound project could be perfect.
