My son shot his first mule deer using a Tikka T3x Lite Compact in 243. Shot was 228 yards using the Barnes TTSX 80 gr factory loads. It was a quartering away shot and the bullet exited just behind the left shoulder. Was hunting with Gardner Ranch Outfitters in Montana.
