I did not use the beta wad files for this, only doom2.wad. I needed to use doom.wad for placeholders. This is why some Doom1 graphics are used. The music that plays during the levels is also from Doom1. Doom's different executables can be found here: [ Ссылка ]
A lot of things were still missing in version 1.6, like megaspheres. They make Doom crash when entering the level where their is one. At 1:05, I used a modified map to test the Mancubus and the Hell Knight. This is because I could not find a map where there is one that did not crash. It is a modified version of map 31. Nazis were not in this version yet, so I removed all of them so it would not crash.
To run Doom v1.6, you need to use "-file doom.wad doom2.wad" so the game will load placeholders and load the Doom 2 files again. Other versions will crash because of missing textures. You need to find their names in the executable. They are: GDOORF1, GDOORF2, GDOORF3, GDOORF4, GDOORB1, GDOORB2, GDOORB3 and GDOORB4 (I guess they are sliding door textures). They can all be replaced by GRAYBIG. You can do this easily with a text editor like Notepad++. That way, you can run v1.3, v1.4 and v1.5 without any problem.
If I missed something, feel free to tell me. Let a comment in the description please.
