After the Alpha Weatherproofing team replaced 100+ balcony sliders and completed the proper waterproofing, we updated the balcony decks with a fresh new look and watertight protection from the harsh New England elements. Balcony shotblasting achieved the appropriate surface prep; cracks were routed and sealed with urethane sealant; and decks were coated with Sikalastic®-726 Balcony One Shot elastomeric polyurethane waterproofing coating system by Sika. This material’s quick cure time allows for applying both coats in one day, and the aggregate mixture already incorporated into the product virtually eliminates risk of mixture error.
