[ Ссылка ] If you spend a lot of time on the roof of your 4x4, sometimes a little bit more comfort is desired. Perhaps a roof terrace on your Defender. And you are partial to a bit of DIY. Especially when you consider the cheap (flat-pack) self-assembly system from Britpart, which also has the distinction of being the cheapest on the market.

While we have reviewed this roof rack elsewhere, this short video covers the addition of wooden terrace decking boards. These were purchased at the local B&Q/Castorama and are super good value, being weatherproof, sturdy and easily installed. They actually add to the structural strength of the roof rack itself.

So, for under €300 total (including the roof rack) you too can have a roof deck from which to enjoy a sundowner.
