Colombia and Peru are the operating countries of choice for Vancouver-based mineral exploration company Max Resource Corp. These two countries are known for the significant production of base and precious metals which is the reason why Max is exploring for copper, silver and gold there.
Copper is the Max’s main focus with demand for the conductive metal soaring due in part to the growing electric vehicle (EV) market. While the average motor vehicle contains 40 pounds of copper, hybrid vehicles typically contain twice that and EVs can contain 100 lbs of copper.
Max has discovered district-scale copper mineralization in a previously under-explored region in northeast Colombia. The Company is exploring the CESAR Copper-Silver project, a 90-kilometer-long basin, where it has discovered three high-grade copper-silver zones: Uru, Conejo, and AM, which will be the targets of an extensive drill program in the second half of 2022.
