The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan introduces the new designs for the Piccadilly line trains which are currently being assembled at Siemens Mobility train manufacturing facility at Goole in East Yorkshire.
Designed with passenger comfort, safety and sustainability at the heart of their designs.
New features include:
🚇 Walk-through carriages
🚇 Wider all-double doorways
🚇 Enhanced digital display screens
🚇 CCTV cameras for additional customer security
🚇 Air-conditioning - the first deep Tube train to ever feature this
These state-of-the-art trains will come into service by the end of 2025.
