The Racetrack Landscape Photography
Death Valley National Park, California
American Southwest Landscape Photography Road Trip
Welcome to episode 06 in my 7 week road trip photographing landscapes across the American Southwest. In this episode, we photograph the Racetrack, remotely located in central Death Valley National Park, California. After a long drive on rough backcountry roads, we walk out onto the playa to find and photograph the famous "moving rocks". These rocks leave trails behind them in the playa mud as they are moved over the playa by winds while trapped in thin sheets of ice.
