Tropical Storm Jerry continues to struggle in the open western Atlantic today, as it battles wind shear. The storm is not likely to strengthen significantly, but could still pose a threat to Bermuda later on this week.
Tropical Storm Karen has remained very weak today, and is in danger of losing its status tonight if trends continue. Tropical Storm Watches are now posted in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, as slow strengthening could occur before it gets there. However, Karen is unlikely to be as strong as Dorian was when it moved through the islands. Karen will then continue north and possibly turn west.
Tropical Storm Tapah is turning post-tropical north of Japan
Tropical Depression Mario is about to reach the Baja California Peninsula.
Tropical Storm Kiko is still alive in the Eastern Pacific.
Tropical Storm 03A is the latest cyclone in the Arabian Sea, and could strike Oman as a tropical cyclone later this week.
