This is A Day in the Life of a Doctor - ICU Edition! Dr. Amit Pandey is a third year internal medicine resident at UC San Diego. He graduated from UCLA for undergrad and went to UC San Diego for medical school. You can learn more about his story as well as read his insightful blog posts at [ Ссылка ]
Dr. Pandey goes over what a day in the life is like in residency while on ICU - one of the toughest rotations in residency. He goes over the call rooms in the hospital and how they perform and practice central lines - a critical skill in the ICU.
ICU patients are some of the sickest, and things don't always end well. This can weigh heavily on family, but also the physician and care providers. Dr. Pandey elaborates on this in his excellent blog post titled "Life and Death in the ICU: A reflection". You can read it here [ Ссылка ]
