Neonatal resuscitation, also known as newborn resuscitation, is an emergency procedure focused on supporting approximately 10% of newborn children who do not readily begin breathing putting them at risk of irreversible organ injury and death. During Neonatal Resuscitation, make sure that the environment is neat, clean and safe. Baby should be received in dry, warm wrapping sheet. If baby doesn’t start breathing with drying, then stimulate the back of the baby and the sole. If baby doesn’t start breathing with drying, start suctioning of mouth and then Nose. Give 5 rescue breaths with Ambu Bag in neutral position (Head down, chin lift). After initial 5 rescue breaths, assess the baby for color and breathing. If baby is still not breathing check the heart rate with stethoscope. If still not breathing. Give adrenaline 0.2 ml / kg (with the concentration of 1 in 10,000). If no response in 20 minutes we can stop resuscitation process.

This Channel is providing knowledge in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Obstetrics is related to medical and surgical care before, during, and after a woman gives birth. Obstetrics focuses on caring for and maintaining a woman’s overall health during maternity. This includes pregnancy, labor, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Gynaecology on the other hand focuses on women’s bodies and their reproductive health. It includes the diagnosis, treatment, and care of women’s reproductive system. This includes vagina, uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes. Gynaecology also includes screening for and treating issues associated with women’s breasts. Gynaecology is the overarching field of women’s health from puberty through adulthood. It represents most of the reproductive care you’ll receive during your lifetime. If you become pregnant, you’ll need to go to an obstetrician.
