On May 9, 2012, as part of the Saudi Austrian Forum Bridges of Dialogue that held from May 7 - 9, OFID welcomed HE Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information of Saudi Arabia, members of parliament and foreign ministry from both countries, as well as individuals from the academic community and university students. Guests were welcomed by OFID Director-General, Mr. Suleiman J. Al-Herbish, who said that the steadfast support of its Member Countries had been instrumental in helping the institution carry out its mission, particularly with regard to the Energy Poverty Initiative, which was "helping put the issue in the forefront of OFID's overall activities."
