검찰, ‘백현동•대북송금 의혹’ 오늘 아침 이재명 구속영장 청구
South Korean prosecutors this morning requested an arrest warrant for the main opposition Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung.over corruption allegations.
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office is accusing Lee of giving special treatment to a private developer in Seongnam's Baekhyeon-dong district apartment project between 2014 and 2015, when he served as the city's mayor.
Lee's also facing accusations of being involved in Ssangbangwool Group illegally wiring money to North Korea , which the prosecution sees as third party bribery.
Lee has consistently denied all allegations.
The arrest warrant request comes as the DP leader was taken to the hospital this morning due to his 19-day hunger strike to protest the Yoon administration.
