Nonverbal sentence is a sentence that does not have a verbal predicate, it may contain a nominal predicate, an adjectival predicate, also an adverbial predicate. In this lesson we study sentences with a nominal predicate
Nominal sentences have 3 basic patterns: A B; A pw and A pw B, where either A or B can be the subject or predicate. They express the identity of their subject: ra pw “He is Re” (where the predicate ra tells who the subject, pw “he,” is); pXrt pw anx “Life is a cycle” (where the predicate pXrt “a cycle” explains what the subject, anx “life,” is).
