This video is used for training purpose to explain the Pacific Harvest Strategy concept to Fisheries officers in the SPC's 22 Pacific Islands countries and territories.
The Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission – WCPFC with the support of the Pacific Community – SPC and the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency – FFA is working towards the development of harvest strategies for the regions’ four key tuna stocks: skipjack, albacore, bigeye and yellowfin. The implementation of harvest strategies will help secure the regions’ tuna resources and associated fisheries benefits for the long-term.
The funding support for this development work has been generously provided by the new Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
