With FooSales' new split payment feature, handling these mixed payments is now easier than ever, allowing you to seamlessly process multiple payment methods within a single transaction.
This feature allows customers to combine multiple payment methods—such as cash, card, Square, or Stripe—into a single order. It’s perfect for group purchases, shared expenses, and collaborative gifts.
To get started, ensure your FooSales plugin is updated to the latest version. Then, activate the ‘Split Payment’ option on the WooCommerce payment method management screen. Once enabled, customers will see the ‘Split Payment’ option at checkout when using the FooSales apps. The interface is user-friendly, allowing for both automatic and manual payment splits.
During checkout, cashiers can allocate the total amount across various payment methods. Each processed payment recalculates the remaining balance, which is then split among the remaining methods until the full amount is paid.
Managing refunds for split payments is straightforward. All payments are itemized in the order details, ensuring refund requests are handled smoothly, even when multiple payment methods are involved.
FooSales also includes a ‘POS Payments’ menu in the WordPress admin dashboard, providing a comprehensive view of all payments processed through the system. Payment information is also accessible on individual order screens.
