Numerous proofs are derived from the Quran and Hadith relaying the importance of obeying ones parents. The All-Mighty Allah (swt) calls you to obey Him, and immediately calls you to the obedience of those that bore and raised you. One should reflect on these verses and seek to understand the rights of parents in Islam, the successes derived from adhering to these rights and the riches obtained by showing humility, kindness and respect to them. All are key factors in obtaining the pleasure of Allah (swt).
