We went to Um Phang on July 30, 2012 - August 1, 2012. The road into the waterfalls was close between 30 of June - 1 of October due to the rain season in the area. We was worried that we couldn't visit the waterfalls (1 of the 6 most beautiful falls in the world). But we found a kind local resort owner and tour operator. He took us on 4WD Ford truck for 3,000 baht of service. After 2 hrs on 25K mud road, we finally got to see the falls. It's worth a visit and of course worth more than 3,000 baht. People said "Travel isn't about the destination but it is about the journey to get to the destination". We actually enjoy the ride more than the falls.
