Sorry it's been a minute since i've uploaded a video. I've seen a few woodturning unboxing videos and thought I'd give it a go with my laguna 24/36 lathe.
So in saying that, let me tell you this thing blew my socks off. That might be saying something but lets keep in mind that i've been turning on a harbor freight lathe with an albeit better than factory motor, it was still only 120v instead of three phase 220v. I'll simplify it, it has 3.5 times more torque and power than the old lathe, WITH A 24' CAPACITY!!! So i'm absolutely loving it.
The oak burl was stabilized in Shed Life 3.0 blend which is some seriously hard stuff. Leaned in as hard as possible with the carbides with no motor lag at all, never skipped a beat. And the 3.0 blend will leave an epoxy smooth finish with no tear out using a carbide, but it is really hard so heads up!
