United Arabic Emirates' Hope Mars Mission captured spectacular Timelapse video of Mars Winter. Process of recording this video took 5 month! Focusing on both CO2 and water ice transitions. On Mars, during the winter season, CO2 and water ice undergo this unique process. The Mars Hope mission, also known as the Emirates Mars Mission (EMM), is a space exploration project initiated by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). General goal of the Mars Hope mission is to study the Martian atmosphere and climate, providing valuable insights into the Red Planet's weather patterns and climate dynamics. Launched on July 19, 2020, from the Tanegashima Space Center in Japan, the mission was designed to coincide with the UAE's 50th anniversary.
The permanent ice caps at the Martian poles harbor water ice, which undergoes sublimation during spring and summer, transforming into water vapor and mixing with the atmosphere. As temperatures drop in autumn and winter, the water vapor condenses and freezes, replenishing the icy caps.
4K UHD renders of Martian Northern Polar Cap was made by iGadgetPro. Showcasing the sequences of these seasonal processes, such as the formation of water ice clouds during Martian winter. Understanding the dynamics of sublimation, both of CO2 and water ice, is crucial for studying Mars' atmosphere, climate, and surface conditions.
